Scottish Grappling Rankings

The Scottish Grappling Rankings use an Elo-based rating system to measure competitive performance across our events.

Unlike a traditional points system, rankings are based on individual match results rather than simply awarding points for entering or placing at a tournament. A competitor's rating changes after each eligible match, taking account of both the result and the relative rating of their opponent.

This means that performances against higher-rated opponents can have a greater impact on a competitor's rating, while the system builds a picture of competitive performance over time.
